SANITARY PAD DISPOSAL SERVICE
Many workplaces, schools, and public spaces in Nepal lack proper ways to dispose of used sanitary pads. This leaves girls and women with unsafe, unhygienic options — or worse, no options at all. MITINI provides eco-friendly sanitary pad disposal services across schools, offices, and public spaces. Our system collects used pads safely and treats them through autoclaving, a sterilization process that ensures health safety while protecting the environment. Safe disposal isn’t just about hygiene — it’s about dignity, health, and empowerment. By removing barriers to safe menstrual management, we help girls stay in school, women stay at work, and communities thrive.
MENSTRUAL HEALTH AND HYGIENE MANAGEMENT AWARENESS
Stigma and misinformation about menstruation are widespread in Nepal. Many girls and women lack accurate information, while boys and men are often excluded from these conversations. MITINI delivers engaging, stigma-free menstrual health workshops in schools, workplaces, and communities. Our sessions provide accurate knowledge, practical tips, and open dialogue, empowering participants to manage menstruation safely and confidently. Education breaks myths, reduces shame, and creates supportive environments. By raising awareness, we ensure menstruation doesn’t limit anyone’s opportunities in school, work, or daily life.
PAD DISTRIBUTION
Since the inception of MITINI, we have been committed to ensuring that young girls have access to safe and dignified menstrual health management. As part of this commitment, we have built a long-standing partnership with Nepal Children’s Organisation (Bal Mandir). Through this collaboration, MITINI provides free sanitary pads every month to the residents of Bal Mandir, supporting adolescent girls in managing their periods with comfort and dignity. Importantly, these contributions are made possible through the funds generated from MITINI’s sanitary pad disposal service, ensuring that community support is sustained by community participation. Our partnership with Bal Mandir is one of the many ways MITINI strives to reach underserved groups, demonstrating our dedication to menstrual equity and community well-being.
